Methodology

2021 Inc. 5,000 regions are ranked by percentage of revenue growth over 2017 and 2019. To be eligible, companies must have submitted a proposal by 31 December. be established and profitable by March 2017. As of December 2019, they must be U.S.-based, privately owned, for-profit, independent, and not be subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. (A number of listed companies have since gone public or been acquired). The minimum income for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum income for 2019 is $1 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to reject candidates for subjective reasons.
