In 2004, Napa Valley-based Peakeasy was born, becoming one of the foremost wine-and-food pairing concepts in the country. Peakeasy’s goal is to help you discover and appreciate your wines by pairing them with delicious food and exceptional service, and to do so in the most comfortable way possible. Peakeasy’s new Champagne Room opened in June, and it offers an entirely new and equally amazing way to experience the wonders and delights of peerless, world-class Champagne.

The Acumen Napa Valley Wine Gallery is located in the sprawling Napa Valley of California in the town of Yountville. It is one of the region’s top wine restaurants, a cozy nook where you can try some of the best wines in the world. The restaurant features an unfinished room in the basement of one of the buildings and this month finally unveils the room as a Peakeasy Champagne Room.

Next time you visit the gorgeous Peakeasy Champagne Room at the Acumen Napa Valley Wine Gallery, you’ll witness an experience every new champagne lover dreams of. The tasting room, located in the gallery’s lobby, is exactly what you’d imagine a private suite of rooms to be like. It’s a spectacular setting for a celebratory bottle of bubbly, and the space’s interior is on par with its gorgeous exterior.. Read more about napa valley vineyards and let us know what you think.

Acumen PEAKeasy, which will offer a rotating selection of the finest Champagne wines in a beautiful retro lounge setting, will be served both by the glass and by the bottle.

NAPA VALLEY, CA. – 27. May 2021 – Acumen Napa Valley (www.acumenwine.com) is pleased to announce the opening of Acumen PEAKeasy, Napa Valley’s first champagne show. Located in a separate space from Acumen Wine Gallery at 1315 First Street in downtown Napa, the new PEAKeasy restaurant has a Type 42 permit that allows customers to enjoy tastings by the glass and bottle at this stylish new establishment. PEAKeasy offers a changing selection of great Champagne wines and rare small production and sale wines, supplied by Acumen. Acumen PEAKeasy is open to the public by appointment Friday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The current range includes three Champagne wines from the renowned producer Michel Gonet, as well as popular offerings from Louis Roederer and Dom Ruinart.

We’re proud to be a Napa Valley winery, but we love champagne and we love the idea of combining elements from the Old and New World in our tour experience, says Diane Schweiger, director of sales and marketing, who led the creation of PEAKeasy and will oversee the champagne list. In addition to champagne, PEAKeasy offers exhibitions by local artists, live music performances such as our Dueling Pianists event, and much more. We are excited to bring something new and innovative like PEAKeasy to our community.

PEAKeasy (named after the famous PEAK level of Atlas Peak’s Acumen mountain wines) is an elegant and intimate space with stylish art deco accents, large comfortable sofas and vintage-style lounge chairs. The PEAKeasy Gallery currently features work by internationally renowned artist Penelope Moore, and a new exhibition of paintings by Napa Valley artist Laura Corallo-Titus (wife of Acumen winemaker Philip Titus) opens in July.

For her first champagne list at PEAKeasy, Schweiger turned to her friends, the Gone family, and presented three of their famous champagnes. Champagne Michel Gonet, founded in 1802, is led by seventh generation winemaker Sophie Gonet and owns 100 hectares of vineyards in the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Auger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Champagne has always been one of my great passions, Schweiger says. I look forward to using the relationships I have built over the years to ensure that our champagne selection is always interesting and unique. There is a whole world of great champagnes that many of us in the United States will never be able to taste. Our goal is to make PEAKeasy a place where you can taste and experience excellent, hard-to-find champagne in the heart of Napa Valley.
