http://31.220.61.170/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/PH-Importing-Announces-Addition-of-de-Bortoli-Wines-of-Australia.png SALINAS, CA – December 2020 – PH Importing, a national importer of quality wines, is proud to announce its exclusive designation as the national importer of Bortoli family wines in the United States. This includes three brands of the Australian vineyard De Bortoli:  Wooden Heathcote red wine, Bortoli premium liqueur wines and the legendary Bortoli Noble One.

De Bortoli is a family business founded in 1928 by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in New South Wales. Immigrants from the Northern Italian Pre-Alps settled in the fertile Riverina region of Australia. From the humble beginnings, when they created a small number of table wines for their compatriots, they gradually created a diversified vineyard and a strong family heritage.

The DeBortoli vineyard is truly a legendary Australian, said Bob Piotrovsky, founder of PH Import. This family embodies the miracle of multi-generation winegrower families and the long-term vision of quality and sustainability that comes with looking to the future. We look forward to bringing this vision to the United States and sharing a truly excellent wine with our friends.

The American range of wood fires includes Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from Heathcote in the heart of central Victoria. The region is known not only for Shiraz, but also for its red wines, which find a perfect habitat on red, Cambrian and green, calcareous soils that produce small, concentrated grapes with a rich and complex character. The strong, fragrant, ready-to-drink drinks are inspired by the Australian barbecue tradition and are beautifully crafted to accompany grilled ribs.

Premium The Bortolio’s reinforcements include Black Noble, both from the Riverina region, as well as 8-year-old Fine Tawny and 21-year-old Tawny boys from different regions. These Velcro fasteners, which age in oak barrels in the cellar, are the living history of the De Bortoli family, some of whose plots go back several decades.

Finally, the Noble One, one of the most award-winning Australian wines in history, Riverina’s Botrytis Semillon. The bottle was created in 1982 by Darren de Bortoli, the third generation of the family, and was inspired by Château Coute in 1975, which he tasted while studying at Roseworthy College in Adelaide. Although the project was not initially enthusiastically received by his family, he was determined by his belief in the vineyards and his vision of producing world-class dessert wines.  Today it is one of the most award-winning wines in history. More than three decades after this revolutionary wine conquered the world, the famous Noble One remains the benchmark for Australian dessert wine Botrytis. Their first vintage 1982 was honoured by Decanter Hall of Fame magazine for its quality and origin.

The De Bortoli family is very happy with the cooperation with Bob and the PH-import team.  The start of a new collaboration is always interesting and creates a strong relationship with Bob, but also with

PH Importing’s experience, professionalism and energy give our family the confidence to share our quality brands with consumers in the United States, said Victor de Bortoli, CEO of De Bortoli Wines.

PH Import is strategically focused on the wines of the Shadow family in California. Separ takes care of the logistics, analysis and sales structure for the national integration and support of PH’s import portfolio.
