SONOMA COUNTY, CA. (March 2, 2021) – Do you like wine? Have you ever dreamed of spending your days in the sunny vineyards of California, the land of wine? If so, Murphy-Goody, pioneer of serious wine and serious fun, wants to hear from you. Today, the winery announced the launch of A Really Goode Job, a four-month nationwide search to find a person who will fulfill their dream in the land of wine, beginning in August 2021. The salary is $10,000 a month, free housing for a year in the charming town of Healdsburg, one of the best neighborhoods in Sonoma County, and a year’s supply of Murphy-Goody wine.
First launched in 2009, the Really Good Work campaign was a pioneering campaign to create real jobs in the wine sector in times of economic crisis and high unemployment. The original goal of the campaign was to capture a year of life and work at Murphy Goudy via social media, a new business trend for many wineries at the time. As the country faces new challenges, it is more important than ever to create viable access and career opportunities. With this in mind, the winery has relaunched the campaign, but this time it is asking candidates to submit their dream job. Murphy-Goody is in high demand, seeking candidates from across the country to follow her passion and find her dream job in the wine industry.
We are proud to contribute to this campaign, which has made a big impact in a difficult year for many, said Rick Tyner, CEO of Jackson Family Wines, a family-owned company that produces Murphy-Goody and others. Living and working in this beautiful part of the world is a real gift, and we are happy to share it with someone who has a passion for wine. We hope to hear from many candidates inside and outside the industry, in our backyard and beyond.
To enter, participants must create a short video explaining their ideal role in the wine industry and what they mean to Murphy-Goode, and upload that video to the official campaign website. The winner will be selected and announced in July 2021. Once chosen, the winner begins their one-year adventure with Murphy-Goody. He’ll be the first to join wine rock star Dave Ready Jr. to explore the ins and outs of harvesting in Sonoma County. Inspired by their candidacy, Murphy-Goode will then work with the winner to define his or her passion and create the perfect role in the winery for the rest of the year and hopefully beyond. For those wondering if this is the right job for them, check out the job description here and follow Murphy-Goode on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @MurphyGoodeWine.
