December 2020. – San Luis Obispo, California– Lindsay Maureen joins Efforts Center as Assistant Director of Hospitality She works with Hospitality Center Director Kasey Helt to continue Efforts Center’s passion for delivering luxury wines to VIP members and other guests in their state-of-the-art hospitality center.

Lindsay, born and raised in Monterrey, California, moved to San Luis Obispo in January 2013 to study nutrition and food at Cuesta Community College. After her first degree in Cueste in 2015, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Nutrition from California State University. However, after working in first class restaurants, she found her true passion in customer service and monitoring the customer experience. This, combined with her love for food and wine, made her decide to change her profession. In 2019 she obtained a degree in hotel management, with a specialization in the kitchen.

Shortly before his graduation Lindsay started working at the Stichting Podiumkunstencentrum. In her role as Events and Communications Manager, she has been able to bring her hospitality and customer service expertise to the relationship with charities. Lindsay has also gained valuable experience with FPAC, including event planning, marketing, public relations and community relations. When she worked at the Foundation, she also became a member of Leadership San Luis Obispo.

Lindsay has returned to her true passion for hospitality management with her new position at the Centre of Excellence. Their goal is to use their professional experience to improve and enhance the winery’s customer experience.

I love the atmosphere in the Center for Endeavor and the way it treats its guests, says Lindsay. After only a few months at the Centre of Excellence, Lindsay has already fallen in love with the wine industry. She feels that the tasting experience at the Strength Center differs from other wineries in terms of wine quality and customer service, Lindsay adds: The team of the hospitable Centre d’Effort not only teaches our guests about our wines and tells them about our history, but also gives them the opportunity to taste them and enjoy a beautiful property. The trial experience here is really special.

Since graduating from California Polytechnic University, Lindsay has studied cooking and culinary style. She improved her skills by working as a pastry chef in a local hotel earlier this year. Casey Helt says that Lindsey is an incredible addition to our team, which has been able to start and improve what we offer on many levels. It is great that she also brought her culinary and design talent to the WCC by supervising the wine tasting committees and we look forward to working with her to creatively expand the range of WCC dishes on offer.

If Lindsay isn’t at the Stress Centre, you can find her at home in the kitchen playing guitar or spending time with her boyfriend Jeremy and her cat Maisie.

The Centre d’Effort (COE) is dedicated to the production of exceptional domain wines and the expertise of its members at the heart of our SIP (Sustainable in Practice) certified vineyard, wineries and recently completed Hospitality Exhibition Centre.

Located four miles from the Pacific Ocean in the beautiful Edna River Valley in San Luis Obispo, Colorado reflects Bill and Cheryl Swanson’s vision of producing the highest quality wines and serving the local community they have called home since their early years.
