Carmody McKnight Estate Winery in Westerly, Rhode Island announces the release of their newest collection: the Forever Miss America Scholarship Collection. Although the Miss America pageant has been criticized for its lack of scholarship offerings, Carmody McKnight’s Forever Miss America Scholarship Collection will not receive such criticism. This is due to the fact that the scholarship money is coming directly from the vineyards, and not from the pageant itself.
Taste and quality have always been the hallmark of Carmody McKnight Estate Wines. In a recent press release, the company announced the addition of the Forever Miss America Scholarship Collection to its product line. The collection offers the same quality and taste at a reduced price for a limited time.
Luxury West Paso Robles Estate Wines to draw attention and raise funds for the Miss America Foundation’s scholarship program.
Paso Robles, CA, (April 29, 2021) – Carmody McKnight Estate Winery, owned by actor/artist Gary Carmody Conway and former Miss America Marian McKnight Conway, today announced a series of creative wines and events with the Miss America Foundation (MAF) to raise awareness and funds for college scholarships for women. Produced at the legendary Carmody McKnight Volcanic Vineyard west of Paso Robles, this special series of elite Bordeaux wines donates the sale of each bottle to the Forever Miss America Scholarship Fund and represents decades of dedication to the economic and social development of all women through educational and professional opportunities.
Gender equality has a fundamental impact on the long-term cultural and economic relevance of a society. The World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap 2020 report predicts, based on education estimates, that gender equality will be more than a century away. Access to education and training is essential to address the under-representation of women, especially at a time when the world is facing new and technically complex challenges. What makes it even more difficult for most of them is that the cost of education in this country is prohibitive.
Without my generous Miss America scholarship, I never would have been able to go to UCLA, I never would have met Gareth, and I never would have met Carmody McKnight, Marian McKnight said. We named Carmody McKnight Winery 40 years ago and today we are passionately committed to every barrel, bottle and our creative energy for the economic and social advancement of all women. The gender gap remains deeply entrenched and may become even wider. The advancement of women has always depended on the advancement of education!
The Foundation’s Board of Directors commends owners Gary Carmody Conway and Marian McKnight Conway for their support of our mission to empower women through professional resources and scholarships. Her commitment to gender equality through educational opportunities and scholarships is commendable, said Joel Ballesteros, vice president of the Miss America Foundation board of directors. We are pleased that the Forever Miss America Scholarship Fund will benefit from our partnership with Carmody McKnight and her commitment to equality for all women through enhanced educational opportunities, Joel added.
The Forever Miss America Scholarship Fund seeks to raise $100,000 and offers people the opportunity to help create a scholarship in honor and memory of the incredible women who have held the title of Miss America and worked to empower women for the past 100 years.
