He was named 40 Under 40 in 2020 and Sommelier of the Year by Food and Wine Magazine in 2019. Segelbaum is an advanced sommelier with the title of Master Sommelier of the Court, Certified Wine Specialist (with distinction) from the Association of Wine Educators and Specialist of Wine and Spirit Tasting Rooms (with distinction). Mr. Segelbaum has opened more than 30 restaurants, hotels and other locations where he has developed and implemented beverage programs as beverage manager and sommelier. At the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., Mr. Segelbaum teaches continuing education courses on wine and is vice president of the American Sommelier Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports sommeliers in times of need.

As a sommelier, I am constantly looking for the best in the world of wine. I am always on the lookout for hidden gems that, once discovered, will forever enrich my life as a winemaker. I am pleased to have joined the Grand Reserve Credit Card Advisory Board. This card will undoubtedly be an extremely useful and practical accessory for wine, says Eric Segelbaum.
